Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 30, 2023, at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Tylertown, for Rev. Johnny Calvin Williams, 71, who passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2023, at his residence.

Minister Travanti Williams officiated with interment following at China Lee Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He is the son of the late Joseph P. and Annie Mae Williams.

He was the Pastor of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Tylertown.

Rev. Williams was retired.

He served in the United States Army Coast Guard where he received the Army National Defense Service Medal.

He was a Mason, a teacher at Harper Baptist Seminary in Magnolia, and enjoyed being a carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Williams of Silver Creek; son, Trevanti Williams of Jackson; daughters, Javall (Marreo) Bridges and Trevish (Robert) Brown both of Silver Creek; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
