Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2024, at Holly Springs CME Church in Bassfield for Ms. Lucille Graves, 96, who passed away on Friday, Jan. 26, 2024, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.

Rev. Ernest Miller officiated with interment following at Sweetwater CME Church Cemetery in Prentiss.Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She is the daughter of the late Herd Graves and Lura Fairley.

She was a member of Holly Springs CME Church in Bassfield.

Ms. Graves was a retired homemaker who loved fishing, going to garage sales, watching the Andy Griffith Show and spending time with family and friends

She is survived by her son, Dr. Herd E. Graves of Bassfield; grandson, Jonathan Holloway of Taylors-ville; granddaughter, Jasmin Holloway of Hattiesburg; great-granddaughter, Amaria Holloway of Tay-lorsville; and many other relatives and friends.
