Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024, at Friendship Baptist Church, in Collins, for Miss Chanie Mae Preston, 43, who passed away on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024, at Covington County Hospital in Collins.

Rev. Randy Miller officiated with interment following in the church cemetery.

Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She is the daughter of the late Jerry and Mary Ann Preston. She was a member of New Jerusalem Apostolic Church in Bassfield.

Miss Preston was a certified nurse assistant. She enjoyed reading and cooking.

She is survived by her son, Jermaine (Meghan) Preston of Hattiesburg; daughter, Jaquavia Preston of Collins; sisters, Senterra (Charles) Holder of Collins; Michelle Preston of Collins and many other relatives and friends.
