Funeral services were held Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Sweetwater Methodist Church, in Bassfield, for Mrs. Claudine Mae Barnes, 80, who died Saturday, March 23, 2024, at her residence.

Rev. Dr. James A. Loftin officiated with interment following in Wheeler Cemetery in Bassfield.

Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Claudine Barnes was born to the late Claude Booth and Lola Bass Booth.

She was a member of Sweetwater Methodist Church where she was a member of the choir. She was a retired seamstress.

She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Booth.

She is survived by her daughter, Yolanda Brown of Bassfield; four granddaughters, nine grandchildren; one brother, Marvin Booth of Hattiesburg; two sisters, Patricia Magee and Mary E. Booth of Jackson and many other relatives and friends.
