Funeral services were held Monday, March 26, 2024, at Ruby K. Johnson Chapel, in Prentiss, for Mr. Elijah Middleton Sr., 50, who died Monday, March 26, 2024, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Elijah Middleton Sr. was born to the late E. H. and Mrs. Dororthy Middleton in Hattiesburg. He was a 1993 graduate of Bassfield High School who went on to pursue his degree in welding at Jones Community College. He was a member of St. John Baptist Church in Laurel.

He met Nicole Lowe in 2004 and married her in June of 2014, to this union, one son, Karsyn Middleton was born.

He is survived by his wife, Nicole Middleton of Prentiss; children, Karsyn Middleton, Elijah (Maxine) Middleton Jr., Ayesha Williams and Markis Middleton; mother, Dorothy Middleton; siblings, Tony Middleton, Timothy Middleton, Cecilia (Will) Russell and Telma (Altina) Middleton and many other relatives and friends.
