Funeral services were held Friday, April 26, 2024, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church  in Prentiss,  for Mr. Anthony “Fat Daddy” Oatis, 57, who died Monday, April 22, 2024, at his residence. Rev. Ozell White officiated with interment following in the church cemetery. 

Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Anthony Oatis was born in Prentiss, to the late Jasper and Mary Helen Oatis.

He spent his formative years in Prentiss where he attended Prentiss High School and well loved by his teachers.

He is survived by six siblings, twin sister, Angela Funches of Dallas, Texas; Brenda (Willie) Harvey of Prentiss; Felecia Oatis of Hattiesburg; Teddrick Oatis and Gregory Oatis both of Prentiss; Darrell Oatis of Las Vegas, Nevda; four nieces; one nephew and many other relatives and friends.
