The Jefferson Davis County Board of Supervisors recently honored two former employees by presenting resolutions to their family members.
Investigator John Wayne Tolar served the Jefferson Davis County Sheriff’s Department faithfully for over 11 years.
Tolar died in May 2023 at age 66. A resolution was presented to his wife, Delma Tolar.
“We are grateful for your husband and his service,” said Board President Michael Evans.
Charlie Bryant worked for District 1 for six years. Bryant died Feb. 2 at the age of 61. Family members receiving Bryant’s resolution were his niece Tamila Barnes, sister Yolanda Barnes and brother Perry Bryant.
“We really appreciated Charlie Boy and his work for our county,” said Evans.
“The entire board honors the memory and shares in the sorrow of the loss of both of these employees.”
