Graveside services for Mr. Raymond Broome were conducted at 10 a.m Friday, May 31, 2024, at McPhail Cemetery in Carson. Rev. Jack Andrews officiated.

Mr. Broome, age 73, passed away Monday, May 27, 2024, in Hattiesburg.

Saulters Moore Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.

Mr. Broome was born on April 1, 1951, in Jefferson Davis County to Ellis Albert and Joyce Smith Broome. He started school in Carson at five years of age and was later a graduate of Prentiss High School. He worked as a surveyor for Texas Eastern Pipeline. He loved the outdoors. He was a cattle farmer, enjoyed gardening and just anything that related to wildlife. He was a member of Prentiss Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ellis Albert Broome; mother, Joyce Smith (Broome) Moore and stepfather, John Moore.

His memory will forever be cherished by his brother, Gregory A. Broome (Marla).
