Funeral services were held Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Ruby K. Johnson Chapel for Mr. Jerry Mickey Ball, 64, who died Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Wesley Merit Health in Hattiesburg.  Rev. Robert McDuffey officiated with interment following at Green Grove Baptist Church. 

Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Jerry Ball was born to the late Simon and Mildred Ball.

He attended Prentiss High School and joined  J. E. Johnson Church of the Nazarene where he was a faithful member. 

He worked at Sanderson Farms over 25 years and after retirement, he worked at Wards of Prentiss.

He was preceded in death by his brother,  Robert Ball; sister, Elnora Carter.

He is survived by two brothers, Eugene (Getrude) Dean of Temple, Texas; and Melvin Ball of Prentiss; three sisters, Aline Ball of Prentiss; Sylvia Hawthorne of Hattiesburg, and Natasha Ball of Gulfport and many other relatives and friends.
