A native son of Jefferson Davis County, Kenny graduated from Prentiss High School where he also played on the football field as a proud Bulldog.

In his younger years, Kenny enjoyed hunting and fishing in keeping with a boy raised in South Mississippi.

As he grew older, he also enjoyed golf and also developed a passion for college football. However, many would agree that it was in grilling that Kenny truly shined – earning the reputation of Grill Master among family and friends.

Some of his happiest moments were spent gathered around the grill with loved ones during cookouts.

His career was marked by nearly 20 years of loyal service to the Computer Science Corporation, where he worked as a consultant.

Kenny’s knowledge and commitment for his work endeared him to colleagues and earned him the respect of all who knew him.

Above all else, Kenny’s greatest joy came from his family. A devoted husband and father, he also had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren, creating countless precious memories with them over the years.

One treasured moment was his “Paw Patrol” themed party on his 72nd birthday. Surrounded by family and friends, with his grandson Jackson as the host, it was a celebration complete with “Paw Patrol” party hats, cups, plates and even a cake.

This day, filled with laughter and love, was one that will forever be etched in their hearts. Kenny Polk was a shining example that good men still exist.

In addition to his parents, Kenny is preceded in death by his brothers, Oscar and Danny Polk.

His memory will live on in the hearts of his beloved wife of 50 years, Marcia Polk of Monroe, Georgia; his sons, Greg Polk of Stephens, Arkansas, Brad (Jennifer) Polk of Loganville, Georgia, Adam Polk of Monroe, Georgia and his sister, Linda McPhail (Glenn) of Prentiss. The legacy of their Poppe will also live on through his grandchildren, Dalton (Kaidy) Polk, Katelyn Polk, Jared Polk, Jaden Polk, Jackson Polk and his great-granddaughter, Raley Polk.
