Graveside services for Mrs. Lynda Lou Harris were conducted at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, 2024, at Brady Cemetery in Prentiss with the Rev. Terry Wallace officiating.

Mrs. Harris, age 84, entered into the eternal rest of her Lord Thursday morning, Aug. 22, 2024, at her home in Prentiss.

Saulters Moore Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.

Friends and family gathered from 3 p.m. until 4:45 p.m. at Saulters Moore Funeral Home with the funeral procession departing immediately after the visitation.

Lynda Lou Harris was born on Jan. 28, 1940, in Tylertown, to Eloine Sandifer and Lynn Kesler Buckley.

Lynda met Wayne Harris from Tallahatchie County, at Co-Lin College; they married in 1958 and remained a devoted couple for 66 years.

Lynda loved and appreciated nature and beauty. She enjoyed gardening, feeding the birds, caring for all their dogs, reading, working crossword puzzles and taking stained glass classes.

Her grandchildren remember fondly the special books and wonderful educational toys Mimi selected, as well as family time playing board games and completing puzzles.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Harris is preceded in death by her sister-in-law, “Pete” Buckley.

Lynda is survived by her loving husband, Wayne; their children Wayne “Lenny” Harris (Margaret) of Sulphur, Louisiana, and daughter, Michelle Harris of Prentiss; grandchildren, Meredith Harris Wiese (Kevin) of Spring, Texas and Austin Kesler Harris (Hailey) of Denham Springs, Louisiana and two beautiful great-grandchildren, Amelia Wiese and Dawson Harris. She is also survived by her brother, Joe Buckley of Prentiss.

The family wishes to thank all the caregivers who assisted Lynda. They are especially grateful for the selfless dedication of Archie and Sissy, who loved and compassionately cared for Lynda, Wayne and their family for many years.
