MSgt. Marcus Feazell, Ret.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 24, 2024, at Oak Ridge Baptist Church in New Hebron, for retired MSgt. Marcus Feazell, 71, who died Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2024, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.

Rev. Terry Davis officiated with interment following in the church cemetery. 

Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

MSgt. Marcus Feazell was born to the late Melvin and Aree Feazell Gardner. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church where he served as Superintendent of the Sunday School and member of the Trustee Board.

He received his education at New Hymn High School, Class of 1971. After graduation, he attended Co-Lin Community College and later joined the United States Army in 1972. 

He retired in 1996 and returned to New Hebron, and began raising cattle and his own, HVAC business.  He also worked at Advance Auto in Gallman, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Carolyn Gardner and Rita Holliday; one brother, James Gardner Jr.

He is survived by: wife, Pamela Feazell; one daughter, Jacqueline Feazell of Baltimore, Maryland; one granddaughter, Ariana Tatuem of Maryland; two stepdaughters, Tamika Archie and Keshauna Archie both of Birmingham, Alabama; siblings, Mary Feazell of Detroit, Michigan, Calvin (Carol) Longino of New Hebron; Curtis (Edell) Feazell of New Hebron; Deborah (Darnell) Thompson of Pascagoula; Gwendolyn (Frank) Harper of New Hebron; Vina (Calvin) Bowman of Jackson; Priscilla (Johnny) Walker of Prentiss; Keith (LaShawn) Gardner of Gulfport; Scott Garnder of Prentiss; Sherrell (Chris) Turner of Mendenhall; Arlicia (Undray) Gardner of Prentiss, and Derrick (Stephanie) Gardner of Prentiss and many other relatives and friends.
