Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 31, 2024, at Progress Baptist Church in Bassfield, for Mrs. Annette Marie Keys, 63, who died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2024, at her residence. Rev. Curtis Keys officiated with interment following at Wheeler Cemetery in Bassfield.

Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Annette Keys was born to the late Lee’Ester Applewhite; she was one of two children. She grew up in Bassfield  and Hattiesburg.  She was a woman of God, caring wife and dedicated mother, who enjoyed spending time with family and friends and making positive memories.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Dedra Applewhite.

She is survived by her husband, Robert E. Keys; two children, Robert (Sharonda) Keys and Takila Keys; four grandchildren, Cameron Keys, Jahryn Pierce, Sydnee Keys, Sh’Day Adams and many other relatives and friends.
