Dr. Sabrina Edmond Williams held a book signing at the Prentiss Public Library last month to launch her new book, “Learning to Trust.”
“Learning to Trust” is a black family’s guide for building, protecting and transferring wealth and is a personal history of lessons learned during Williams’ yearlong exploration of estate planning, asset protection and estate planning.
Dr. Williams shares her experiences along with relatable real-life examples to help readers understand how the lack of a clear plan can lead to disputes among family members and diminish the wealth for future generations.
She breaks down the complexities of trusts including the various types of trusts, their purposes and how they can be tailored to meet individual needs. The book is an invaluable resource to equip readers with essential knowledge to harness the power of trusts for wealth preservation, tax efficiency, and ensuring the well-being of loved ones.
Williams was the valedictorian of the Prentiss High School Class of 1988. Her mother, Eva Edmon, resides in Prentiss.
“Learning to Trust” will be available to check out at Prentiss Public Library and Dr. Frank L. Leggett Public Library in Bassfield by October.
