Lenorris Cole

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024, at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Monticello, for Mr. Lenorris Fitzpatrick “Turk” Cole, 50, who died Monday, Sept. 9, 2024, at his residence. 

Rev. Joseph Hooker officiated with interment following in the church cemetery. 

Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Lenorris Cole was born to Mrs. Francis Cole and the late Lenorris Woodard.  He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. He attended school in the Lawrence County School District. After school, he worked offshore and later worked 20 plus years at Joe Miles/Hood Industries becoming a supervisor.  He later worked with 3 Girls Trucking Company.

He was once married to Wakeshia Turner and to this union, three children were born, Travon, Travaris and Tavius Cole. 

He was preceded in death by his son, Travon Cole; brother, Ricardo Cole, aunt, Brinda ross, grandmother, Coater Taylor and grandfather, Willie Taylor.

He is survived by sons, Travaris and Tavius Cole both of Monticello; mother, Francis Cole of Monticello; stepmother, Johnnie Mae Woodard of Monticello; one sister, Browyn (Estus) Sands and four brothers, Anthony (Jonesha) Cole, Reginald (Consuela) Cole, Travonti Woodard all of Monticello, MS; Cedric (Shontay) Cole of Prairieville, Louisiana and many other relatives and friends.
