The Jefferson Davis County Economic Development District is excited to host a Lunch and Learn event titled “Everything You Wanted to Know About Economic Development but Were Afraid to Ask.”
This informative and engaging event will take place on Oct. 1, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the historic Rosenwald School at Prentiss Institute, located on J.E. Johnson Road.
This event, sponsored by a generous grant from Entergy, is open to all local stakeholders interested in learning more about economic development in the region.
The event will feature a dynamic panel of experts who will share their insights on various aspects of economic development, moderated by Emlyn Jackson of Southern Mississippi Planning and Development District.
Michael Marks from Stage, Style & Study will deliver a keynote address on Tourism as Economic Development, exploring how the region can leverage tourism to boost the local economy.
Attendees will also enjoy participating in the Strategic Planning Red Beans Game, a fun and interactive way to learn more about economic development strategies while enjoying a delicious lunch.
“Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about economic development, network with local leaders and enjoy a great meal,” said JDC Economic Development Director Gary Bass.
