His son-in-law relates about a particular fishing trip that several went on to the mighty Mississippi River that Ted particularly enjoyed.

In addition, he received a great deal of pleasure from just getting out, riding the rural country roads in this area and taking in the beauty of God’s creation.

Mr. Dyess was of the Baptist faith.

Ted is preceded in death by his parents, Delton and Helen Dyess and his son, Dean Reiter (2013).

His memory will forever be cherished by his wife of 36 years, Shirley Dyess of Carson; daughters, Angie Smith (Mitchell) of Carson, Brandi Niemeyer of Sumrall; brothers, Dale Dyess, Darrell Dyess, both of Carson, Elton Dyess of Sumrall and his sister, Sharon Brewer of Carson.
