Funeral services for Madison Alexander McClellan, Airman First Class, United States Air Force, were conducted Monday, Nov. 18, 2024, at noon at Calvary Baptist Church in Silver Creek, with the Dr. Bill Miller officiating.

Interment followed in the Calvary Cemetery in Silver Creek with full military honors provided by the United States Air Force Honor Guard.

Airman First Class McClellan, age 27, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2024, in San Angelo, Texas. Saulters Moore Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.

The family will receive friends Monday, one hour prior to the service, beginning at 11 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church.

Madison was born on May 14, 1997, in Augusta, Georgia to Donald and Shana McClellan. A beloved son and brother, Madison was a graduate of Nicholls State University and an Airman First Class in the United States Air Force.

Madison’s passion was in writing, and he was the past editor and co-editor of “Mosaic” magazine of Nicholls State University.

Madison is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Donald and Frankie McClellan of Waynesboro, Georgia; maternal grandmother, Sandra Toole of Athens, Georgia; grandfather, Wayne Rowell of Reidsville, Georgia; mother, Michele McClellan of Silver Creek and his aunt, Dean Hall of Waynesboro, Georgia.

He is survived by his father Donald McClellan Jr. of Silver Creek; mother, Shana McClellan of Athens, Georgia; brothers, Cullen McClellan of Atlanta, Georgia, Randall Shoemaker (Chloe) of Pineville, Louisiana; sister, Mollie Bailey (Kenneth) of Sumrall; maternal grandfather, Larry Toole of Augusta, Georgia; grandmother, Betty Rowell of Reidsville, Georgia; aunts, Tamara Michaux (David) of Athens, Georgia, Donna “Cissy” LaRoche (Frank) of Brunswick, Georgia; Diane Quick of Augusta, Georgia, Veronica Burkhalter (Lyn) of Hoschton, Georgia; uncle, Gaston Rowell (Nikki) of McRae, Georgia; niece, Peyton Bailey; nephew, Hudson Shoemaker and 13 cousins.
