JDC Chamber hosting spring events

The Jefferson Davis County Chamber of Commerce Spring Workshop has been scheduled for March 25 at the Rosenwald Building on the campus of Prentiss Institute.

The event will be held from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

Guest speaker for the workshop will be Darnell Moffett. Moffett, the Director of Community Development at Southern Pine Electric Cooperative, will be discussing the company’s grant application that opened on Feb. 1.

This grant is available for non-profit organizations within the 11 counties served by Southern Pine Electric.

The Chamber held its first Tasty Tuesday this week.

Tasty Tuesday is a quarterly event hosted by the Jefferson Davis County Chamber of Commerce, bringing together business owners, chamber members, and the local community.

The event provides updates on chamber activities, upcoming events and membership opportunities for those interested in joining. The event was held at the Prentiss Public Library. Breakfast will be provided for those in attendance.

Dr. Su’Brina Mason is serving as Chamber President with Missy Jones serving as vice-president and Chellie Payne as event planner.
