Roscoe Price

Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 15, 2025, at Greater Sweet Beulah COGIC in Prentiss, for Mr. Roscoe Price, 73, who passed away on Friday, Feb. 7, 2025, at his residence.

Rev. Leroy White officiated with interment following at Golden Gate Cemetery in Prentiss.

Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He is the son of the late Oliver Roy Barnes and Viola Aultman. He was a member of Greater Sweet Beulah COGIC in Prentiss.

Mr. Price worked as a mechanic with Dales Auto.

He enjoyed fishing, cooking, gardening, being a mechanic, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Betty L. Price of Prentiss; son, Terry Price of Prentiss; daughters, Viola Pickering, LaQuita Price-Stewart, April Price-Wilson, and Jasmine Price  all of Prentiss; brothers, David Barnes of Canada; Currie Barnes and Bobby Barnes of  San Pedro, California; adopted brother, Larry Forbes of Maryland; sisters, Irene Carney of New  Orleans, Louisiana; Ollie Washington of Collins; Mary Jenkins of Jackson; Linda Skinner of Gulfport; Rose Brooks of Perkinson; Esetta Barnes of Oakland, California; and Cora Wimer of Freemont, California; 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
