Funeral services were held Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Sweetwater C.M.E. Church in Bassfield, for Ms. Jannet Louise McInnis, 65, who passed away on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2025, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.

Rev. Benjamin Barnes officiated with interment following in the church cemetery.

Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She is the daughter of the late Lenwood McInnis and Dorothy Hathorn.

She was a member of Sweetwater C.M.E. Church. Ms. McInnis was a former volunteer with Five County Child Development. She enjoyed babysitting and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by god-daughter, Melody Cole of Prentiss; sisters, Linda Brown of Hattiesburg; Agrean Clark of Lumberton; Renee Myers and Annie Thompson both of Bassfield; Towana Booth of Prentiss; niece, Tanzanisha Polk and Jakiya Polk both of Prentiss and many other relatives and friends.
