Friends of Prentiss is hosting an event March 22 in Prentiss.

The group will be giving away free cake in the Piggly Wiggly parking lot from 8 a.m. until noon.

Donations will be accepted.

Proceeds will help with the Easter Celebration the group is planning to have in April.

The Easter Celebration will be held April 5 from 10 a.m. until noon in the Longleaf Trace Park.

Church vendors, choirs, an Easter egg hunt and photos with the Easter Bunny will all be part of the celebration.

Friends of Prentiss is a group formed of committed residents working to improve the community through projects and events.

Friends of Prentiss worked last year to provide new Christmas lights and decorations in the Longleaf Trace Park.
