Friends of Prentiss is having a yard sale at the Farmer’s Market across from the Longleaf Trace Park in Prentiss.  The sale will be from 7 a.m. until noon this Saturday.

Cash donations for items will be accepted. Nachos with cheese or chili will be available for $5 and cold drinks for $2.

If you have items you would like to contribute to the sale, please deliver them to Prentiss City Hall.

The group is not accepting clothing items. However, Jefferson Davis County Miss Hospitality Mariah Evans is having a clothing drive to benefit Fieldhouse for Homeless. Clothes can be dropped off at the Prentiss Public Library.

Friends of Prentiss is also planning another cake giveaway from 8 a.m. until noon May 10.

Cakes and baked goods will be available in the Piggly Wiggly parking lot. Donations for the baked goods will be accepted.

Friends of Prentiss is a group formed of committed residents working to improve the community through projects and events.

They worked last year to provide new Christmas lights and decorations in the Longleaf Trace Park. This year proceeds went toward an Easter Extravaganza held in April
