Elder Sylvester Holloway

Funeral services were held Sunday, April 27, 2025, at New Life Church of God in Christ in Prentiss, for Elder Sylvester Holloway, 79, of Prentiss, who passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at his residence.

Pastor Linell Henderson officiated.

Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He is the son of the late Willie and Readie Mae M. Holloway.

He was a member of New Life Church of God in Christ in Prentiss. Elder Holloway was an Educator and School Principal.

He served in the Marines. Elder Holloway was the Associate Pastor at New Life Church of God in Christ.

He enjoyed reading, listening to music and outings.

He is survived by his wife, Elois Holloway of Prentiss; step-sons, Kendrick L. Bourne of Califor-nia; Tony L. Bourne of Henderson, Nevada; Marvin L. Bourne of Prentiss; daughters, Carolina Christiansen of Chandler, Arizona; Sylvia Holloway of Chicago, Illinois; Sybil Holloway of Chica-go, Illinois; Kelly Whitney of Chicago, Illinois; Sylvetta C. Hurston of Atlanta, Georgia; brother, Bobby Holloway of Fulshire, Texas; sisters, Ardie Easterling of Matson, Illinois; Nettie E. Collins of Ocean Springs; Clara Ford of Prentiss and many other relatives and friends.
