Funeral services were held Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Ruby K. Johnson Chapel in Prentiss, for Mr. Windell Magee, 67, of Prentiss, who passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at his res-idence.

Rev. Jessie Holloway officiated with interment following at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Prentiss.

Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He is the son of the late Elvion and Earnestine D. Magee. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Mr. Magee was a Security Guard and Truck Driver in the trucking industry.

He enjoyed fishing, watching Gun Smoke (Westerns), and deer hunting.

He is survived by his wife, Ruthie Magee of Prentiss; sons, Dawane Bass of Mt. Olive; Moses Shelton of Chicago, Illinois; Alexander Bass of Gulfport; daughter, Monique Bass of Collins; brothers, Edward Magee of Washington, D.C.; Willie F. Magee of Carson; sisters, Peggie M. all of Prentiss; Shirley M. Lloyd of Grayson, Georgia; Theresa M. Hall and Jocelyn M. Ragsdale both of Prentiss; 14 grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
