Beverly Stewart Lee was born on Jan. 10, 1940, to Sam H. and Nola Easterling Stewart.

Born and raised in Covington County, she graduated from Lone Star High School, where she played basketball.

She would go on to marry the love of her life, Carroll C. Lee, and the happy couple would raise their three children in the Whitesand community.

Beverly’s passion for nurturing was evident in her role as a mother and grandmother.

She cherished her family above all, especially the joy her grandchildren brought into her life.

Christmas and Thanksgiving were special times in her home, which was a sanctuary of love.

Those she loved most will remember her dining table that overflowed with a bounty of dishes, including her legendary dressing, a recipe that was uniquely her own and could never be duplicated.

In addition to her talent in the kitchen, Beverly was known for her skilled handiwork.

Over the years, she created many beautiful baby quilts, gifts that her family and friends will treasure for years to come.

Each quilt was not just a blanket; they were heartfelt labors of love, stitched together with care and affection, serving as warm reminders of her generous spirit.

Mrs. Lee attended Whitesand Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Carroll C. Lee and her brothers, Mack T. Stewart, Jimmy Dale Stewart, and Sammy Ray Stewart.

Her memory will forever be cherished by her daughter, Carol Ann Sistrunk of New Hebron; sons, Larry Wayne Lee (Donna) of New Hebron, Chad Clifton Lee of Prentiss, and her sister, Mae Helen Power of Madison. The legacy of their Granny will also live on through the grandchildren that she adored, Gracyn Lee Sistrunk and Nathan Lee.
