Ja’Darrian Jai’Shaun Burton

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Jefferson Davis County Middle School Gymnasium in Prentiss, for Mr. Ja’Darrian Jai’Shaun Burton, 22, of Prentiss, who passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025, in Simpson County.

Rev. Horton officiated with interment following at Smith and Family Cemetery in Prentiss.

Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He is the son to Ms. Shekita Burton and Mr. Joseph Horton.

He was a member of Green Grove Baptist Church, Prentiss, Mississippi.

Mr. Burton was a truck driver for KLLM Trucking. He loved riding his 4-wheeler, basketball and spending time with family and friends.

He was an avid fan of the Baltimore Ravens.

He is survived by his father, Joseph Horton of Silver Creek; mother, Shekita Burton of Prentiss; maternal grandmother, Cherlean Smith of Prentiss; paternal great-grandmother, Lena M. Horton of Silver Creek; brother, Kori Barnes of Prentiss; Jahaud Smith of Prentis; sisters, Azharia Burton, Breyuna Mackey, Dabria Smith, Sajada Horton, Sadaja Horton and Akeela Stringer and many other relatives and friends.
