Mr. & Mrs. Greg Berry (Melissa) of Prentiss, Mississippi, and Mrs. Vickie Childers of Richland, Mississippi, are proud to announce the marriage of their children, Patrick Kayron Berry & Shannon Rene’ Childers on October 18, 2013, at the country home of the groom’s grandparents, Kayron and Betty Berry, Prentiss, Mississippi. The bride’s father, Keith Childers is deceased.
The patio and back deck were decorated in a fall motif and the ceremony took place on the deck in the presence of family members. The groom’s uncle, Rev. Scott Berry of Nashville, Tennessee, performed the ceremony.
The bride wore a short white lace sheath, short white veil, her favorite cowboy boots and carried a fall arrangement of cut flowers. Tucked into her bouquet was a miniature photograph of her father.
The groom was dressed in casual attire. Grandfather Kayron Berry sang “Sunrise, Sunset” to the couple preceding the ceremony. This is a tradition in the Berry family weddings.
Immediately following the short ceremony, guests enjoyed wedding cake and punch served on the patio by grandmother Betty Berry and aunt Debbie Greenhill.
Other grandparents of the bridal couple are Marjorie and David Corban of Pearl, Mississippi, Thomas and Sue Stevens of Puckett, Mississippi, Carolyn Tullas and Hazel Bridges of Clem, Mississippi.
The groom is a graduate of Prentiss Christian School, attended Copiah Community College and is currently employed by Halliburton Offshore Company.
The bride is a graduate of Richland High School and is currently a student at Hinds Community College. The couple will be residing in Clem, Mississippi.
