Ezra Lee (Elt) Williams

Funeral services for Mr. Ezra Lee (Elt) Williams, age 57, Prentiss were held on March 29, 2014, at Springhill MB Church. Reverend Ozell White officiated the services. Interment was in the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Reeves Funeral Home of Mount Olive was in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Williams passed away on March 19 at Jefferson Davis County Hospital.

Honorary pallbearers were Harry Lee Williams, Willie Graves, Chucky Graves, Joseph Graves, Travis Thompson, Cory Williams, Harry Lee Williams, Jr., Lee Boyd, Desmond Williams, LaCarlos Williams, Matthew Burkett, Calvin Rushing, Derek Rushing, Oscar Bass, and Johnny Maxwell.

Active pallbearers were Eric Bass, John Bass, Jermaine Coleman, Frankie Ward, Daryl Durr, Foster Hathorn, and Jermaine Rushing.

Mr. Williams was employed for years with different pipeline companies. He was also a pulpwood hauler. He was a dedicated member of the Mt. Zion MBC where he was the superintendent of Sunday school. He was a devoted and dedicated worker in his church and was a godson of all the community churches.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Annie Mae Williams.

Survivors include, his dedicated wife, Almeda Graves Williams; three daughters, Teameaka, Latoya and La’Shonda; granddaughter, Mi’Kayla Aryiel; one brother, Harry (Bonnie) Williams; two sisters, Lisa and Jacqueline Williams; one aunt, Barbara Griffith; sisters and brother-in-laws, Laura (Levern) Stafford, Joyce Blyth, Willie (Annie) Graves, Florine (Eddie) Sample, Sybil Love, Chucky (Linda) Graves, Joseph Graves, Alfreda (Clevie) Brent, Geraldine Speights and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
