Margie McPhail Magee

Funeral services were held for Mrs. Margie McPhail Magee at Prentiss Baptist Church on August 19, 2014. She died Saturday, August 16. Burial was at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Prentiss.

Rev. Ben James, Rev. Jimmy Magee, and Rev. Tim McCaffrey officiated at the services.

She was born in the home of David Lee Polk and Tamer Broome Polk on January 6, 1919, in Bassfield.

She is survived by her four children, Peggy McLean, Shirley Jones (Gerald), Glenn McPhail (Linda) and Ronald McPhail (Charlotte); seven grandchildren, Michael McPhail, Mark McPhail (Diane), Lisa Jones Bourgoyne (Tray), Ann McLean Jackson (Don), Amy Jones Myers (Bill), Melissa McPhail Braddock (Keith), and Jason McPhail; great-grandchildren, Will Jackson, Luke Jackson, Brooke Myers, Austin Myers, Brad Myers, Aaden Myers, Kye Braddock, Dawson Braddock, and Colby McPhail.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Hovis McPhail and Lavelle Magee; brothers, Marvin Polk, Robert Polk, and Dale Polk; sisters Lessie Mae Speights, Winnie Belle Prowell, and Nellie Jean Polk; and son-in-saw, Jerry McLean.

Pallbearers were her grandsons.

Saulters Moore Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
