Willie Lovell Martin

Funeral services were held Saturday, October 11, 2014, at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel for Mr. Willie Lovell Martin, 58, who died October 1 in Warner Robbins, Georgia. Rev. Phillip Clark officiated with interment following in the Springhill MB Church Cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Willie Martin was born to the late Johnnie Martin Robertson in Chicago, IL. After moving to Covington, Lousiana, he united with and was baptized at First MB Church. He graduated from Covington High School in 1973.
After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he began his career as a radiology technician. During his enlistment, he served in Fairfield, California, where he met Kimberly H. McAllister. They married in 1981 and lived in London, England, and Barcelona, Spain, during his enlistment and eventually moved to Warner Robbins, GA, where he retired after 23 years of service. After moving to Warner Robbins, they united with Union Grove MB Church. He started a second career at Coliseum Medical Center in Macon, GA, as a radiology technician, retiring in August of 2013, after 22 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kimberly Martin; stepfather, Enoch Robertson; grandparents, John Martin and Madie Martin Graves; one brother, Llewelyn Martin; aunt, Gloria Williams; and three uncles, Lovell, Jimmy and Charles Martin.
He is survived by two sisters, Kathryn (Mitchell) Lewis of Silver Creek and Sonja Robertson of Gautier, MS; two brothers, Chales Quinn of Denver, CO, and Jonathan (Dushone) Robertson of Warner Robins, GA; many other relatives and friends.
