Funeral services for Jerry Hugh Cole, age 78, were held Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at Saulters Moore Chapel in Prentiss. Mr. Cole passed away on October 11 at his residence in Carson. Interment followed at Dublin Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
Rev. Benji Sessums and Dr. F. W. Tripp officiated. Pallbearers were Rick Barrett, Brad Scuch, Brandon Williamson, Timothy Harris, Marshall Warden and James Gatewood.
Jerry was the son of Hugh and Frankie Blackmon Cole and was born in Jefferson Davis Co. He attended PRCC and USM. He retired in 1996 as the inventory control clerk for Georgia Pacific. He was a member of Carson Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Martha H. Cole of Carson; son, Gordon Cole of Laurel; daughter Jerri Rogers of Collins; grandchild, Cole Rogers of Collins; sister, Syble Cole of Carson; stepson, Timothy Harris of Mt. Olive; and stepdaughter, Donna Warden of Lumberton.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Gay.
