Eunice Virginia Magee Polson

Memorial services were held January 24, 2015, at Holly Springs CME Church, Bassfield, for Mrs. Eunice Virginia Magee Polson, 73, who died Januray 19 at her residence. Rev. William Harper officiated. Johnson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Eunice Polson was born to the late Louis and Martha Harper Magee in Bassfield, MS. She was the 8th child of 12 children born. She was a member of Holly Springs CM. Church at an early age. She graduated from Carver High School. She was married to Willie Louis Hall and became a member of New Paradise MB Church. Four children were born to the union, Yulandraul Simpson of Washington, DC, Dezmond W. Hall of Washington, DC, and the late Destry E. Hall and Dino (Angela) Hall of Chicago, IL.
In 1987, she met and married her special soul-mate, Douglas L. Polson who preceded her in death and lived in Lake Park, Iowa. She met her best friend, Linda Hardin while in Lake Park.
She was known as a practical joker and made everyone laugh with her stories. She was a master tailor and enjoyed sewing everything from rag dolls to tuxedos.
She is survived by one sister, Alice Ruth Carter of New Orleans, LA; six brothers, Ernest Magee of Oakland, CA, Louis Magee, Jr. and Evander (Ardella) Magee both of New Orleans, LA, Booker T. (Mildred) Magee of Little Rock, AR, and Mac Arthur Magee and Freddie Magee of Bassfield; sisters-in-law, Lurine Magee and Mattie Bell Magee; many other relatives and friends.
