Sarah Garner Pardue

Sarah Garner Pardue, age 61, died February 11, 2015, at Forrest General Hospital. Sarah was a current resident of Hattiesburg and formerly a resident of Prentiss. Sarah was retired but previously worked as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) for 19 years with the Forrest General Hospital Pine Grove Behavioral Health & Addiction Services. Many people loved her, and her legacy lives on in our hearts.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Doug Pardue; her parents, Ray and Annie Lou Garner; and her brother, Jimmy Garner. She is survived by her daughter, Angela Pardue King (John) of Monticello, three sisters, Syble Jones (Buster) of Natchez, Shirley Thiac (Phil) of Jackson, and Sandra Little (Harvey) of Jackson. Her six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive her.
Funeral services were held at Main Street United Methodist Church in Hattiesburg. Burial was in Daniel King Cemetery near Bassfield. Hulett Winstead Funeral Home in Hattiesburg was in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Patrick F. Taylor Hope Lodge, New Orleans, LA, The Hospice Ministries of Ridgeland, or a memorial of your choice.
