Bentley Dale Crain, 49 died in his sleep at home on Wednesday, April 15, 2015. He was buried at Lowland Cemetery near Bassfield, MS. on April 16.

He was born September 25, 1965, in Columbia, MS.

Bentley didn’t care for wakes, viewings, funerals, burials, or obituaries, so out of respect this will be kept short. Bentley had a big, tender heart for family, siblings, his wonderful mother and his four-legged children.

After graduating from Columbia High School in 1983, he went on to earn his degree from the University of Mississippi in Oxford.

As many know he had a love for all things Elvis.

Bentley always had a soft spot in his heart for animals and rescued many neglected dogs over the years, providing a safe haven for them.

Bentley was passionate about cooking, the Ole Miss Rebels, and the New Orleans Saints.

He was preceded in death by his father Billy Crain in 2013 and brother Kendall in 1963.

He is survived by his mother, Jeanette M. Crain of Columbia; brothers, Bruce Crain and Barry Crain (Elizabeth) of Jackson; nephews, Cameron Crain, Conor Crain and Austin Crain of Jackson; nieces, Gabrielle Morris and Sydney Morris of Jackson.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Columbia Animal Shelter.
