Ima Sandifer

Funeral services were held at Saulters Moore Chapel in Prentiss for Mrs. Ima Mae Holmes Sandifer who enjoyed life for 95 years. Born May 13, 1920, she left her earthly home and loving family on July 15, 2015, to once again meet her lost loved ones as she was welcomed to her new heavenly home. Interment followed at New Hebron Cemetery.

Rev. Bill Poole officiated. Pallbearers were Phillip Herrin, Larry Foster, Mike Sills, Larry Bass, Fred Sykes and Stanley Stephens.

Ima was born in New Hebron, and lived for many years in Silver Creek, before enjoying her last 12 years in Lacombe, LA. She was a longtime member of New Hebron Baptist Church and worked at New Hebron Manufacturing Company until retiring at age 62. She found joy spending time with family and friends and watching televised sports.

She is survived by her sons, Pascal Patton of Brandon, and Howard Patton of Lacombe, LA; her grandson, Kevin Patton of Gulfport; and cousin, David Holmes of Mobile, AL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pascal and Ollie Holmes of New Hebron; husband, Thad Sandifer of Prentiss; sister, Kathryn Brugher of Silver Creek; and son, Thomas Patton of Baytown, TX.

Saulters Moore Funeral Services were in charge of all arrangements.
