Jeff Davis County authorities need the public’s help in identifying an individual who is impersonating a police officer.
The person police are searching for is a white male, in his 40s, wearing a white and grey uniform shirt, black pants and full duty gear as stated by Jeff Davis County investigator Zack Jackson.
According to Jackson, the person is driving an unmarked dark colored Ford Crown Victoria with dark tinted windows, blue lights on the dash board and no car tag.
“Around 10:00 a.m. Sunday, this individual stopped a female on Highway 13 near Highway 43,” said Jackson. “He eventually fled after seeing another vehicle approaching, leaving the female unharmed,” he added.
“We want everyone to maintain the traffic laws, but if this happens to you, put your hazard lights on, travel to a well lit location, and call 911,” Jackson said.
If you have any information regarding this person call authorities at 601-792-5169.
