Robert Lee Bridges

Mr. Robert Lee “Hound Dog” Bridges, 55 died Monday morning July 25, 2016 at his home in rural Lawrence County. Services for Mr. Bridges were held on Saturday July 30, 2016 at the Rose Hill M. B. Church, where Rev. Dr. Larry Jackson is the Pastor, with Rev. Bill O. Walker officiating. Interment was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, with Laird Mortuary in charge of all arrangements.

Mr. Bridges was the son of the late Otha Bridges and the late Annie Mae Levert Bridges of the Rose Hill Community. At an early age, he joined the Rose Hill Church and remained a member until his death. Mr. Bridges attended school in Prentiss, and worked much of his adult life as a logger and on a number of land rigs until his health failed.

Mr. Bridges’ survivors include his wife, Annie Ruth Buckley Bridges of Silver Creek; one son Joseph M. Buckley of Silver Creek; three stepdaughters, Jennifer Buckley, Tina Buckley and Stacey Buckley, all of Silver Creek; three sisters, Ella Mae Lucas, Dorothy (Charles) Lucas, both of Prentiss, and Jerlene Harris of Silver Creek; two brothers, Willie Ray (Lynn) Bridges of Silver Creek, and Jimmy Ray (Deborah) Bridges of Jackson; three grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.
