Funeral services were held Monday, August 22, 2016 at Mt. Carmel M. B. Church for Mr. James Curtis Alexander, 60, who died Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at his residence.  Rev. James Dampeer, pastor, officiated with interment following in the Griffith Cemetery.  Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. James Curtis Alexander was born to the late Luther and Mattie Alexander in Prentiss, MS.  He attended J. E. Johnson High School and graduated from Prentiss High School in 1973.  He joined Mt. Carmel M. B. Church and remained a member until his death.  He was employed with District Four of the Jefferson Davis County Board of Supervisors.  He was also a operator of heavy equipment.

He is survived by: Lora (Charles) Baggett; two brothers, Kelvin (Mary) Alexander and Lester (Tina) Alexander; two aunts, Flourence Townsend and Easter Gray; special friends, Frank Hicks and James Smith and many other relatives and friends.
