Pee Wee and JV Saints face the Jaguars

Thursday evening both peewee teams and the JV Saints traveled east to Waynesboro.
First to take the field for the Saints was the B team (third and fourth graders). This game was a constant give and take for both teams ending in a 0-0 tie.
The A team game didn’t go so well for the Saints. Despite a few good runs and completions, Wayne Academy was too much for Prentiss. The Jaguars put up 30 unanswered points on the night.
Both the A and B teams travel to Brookhaven Tuesday evening to face the Cougars. Action starts at 6 p.m. for the Saints.
After a long delay, the JV Saints hit the field for their first game of the season.
Having only fourteen players on the roster, mostly seventh graders, the Saints knew they were up for a challenge this year.
Prentiss kicked off to the Jaguars to start the game resulting in a quick WA score.
Prentiss was unable to generate much offense all night while the Jaguars scored on most every possession.
After Wayne was comfortably ahead they put in their younger players and the matchup was much better. Late in the game,
Wayne kicked off to Prentiss and Kyle Essary returned the kick 80 yards for a touchdown.
The two point conversion came up short finishing the game at 32-6. The JV Saints face Clinton Christian at home Thursday night at 6:30 p.m.
