Cedrick Orlando Stewart

A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Lawrence County Civic Center, Monticello, Mississippi for Mr. Cedrick Orlando Stewart, 54, who died Monday, August 29, 2016 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Memphis, TN.  Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Cedrick Stewart was born in Biloxi, Mississippi  to the late James Stewart and Mrs. Irene Stewart.  His early childhood was spent in Laurel, Mississippi  and later moved to Silver Creek, Mississippi where he graduated from Monticello High School.  He met and married Linda Pearl Ross and became father to Rodney Ross and Lyntasha Kim.  He served in the United States Army, spending a tour in Germany in Communications.  When he returned, he joined Monticello Branch of the Mississippi National Guard Armory.  He continued his education and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Programming.  He worked as the Senior Computer Programmer Analyst for 15 years at Georgia Pacific in Monticello, MS.

He was preceded in death by: sister, Melonese and brother, Freno.

He is survived by: mother, Irene K. Stewart; wife, Linda Stewart; son, Rodney Ross, daughter, Lyntasha (Brian) Kim, grandson, Ilyam Kim; brother, Reginald Stewart; sister, Minister Chandra (Preston) Davis; mentor, Dr. Robert Bowe; close friends, Preston Davis, Sr., Willie Gordon, Pastor Don Grisham, Minister Isaac Ross, Vinson Sullivan; godchldren, Jeremi Washington and Jaime Norwood.
