Willow Dean Anthony called to say she was going with the Covington-Jeff Davis Baptist Association Mission Team to Centerville, MS after hearing Director of Missions Tommy Broom
The Prentiss Headlight—Willow Dean Anthony is on mission helping restore a flood victim’s home in Centerville.

“He said something about they could use someone who could pull nails or put up sheetrock. Well, I can pull nails!” stated 90-year-old Anthony, a pastor’s wife for over 65 years, is no stranger to being on mission. She also said some of the ladies of Prentiss Baptist were making cookies to send with the crew.
Anthony didn’t pull any nails but she did get heavily involved in yard work keeping a young man busy hauling her cuttings away and she also helped serve the crew’s lunch.
Anthony and some 15 or more volunteers representing First Baptist of Sanford, Salem Baptist, Dublin, Whitesand and Prentiss Baptist churches did reconstruction work on the home of a single mother, who was unable to get FEMA or MEMA funds to restore her home after Louisiana and parts of Mississippi flooded.
Some of the volunteers did yard work, some construction and some worked on plumbing.
“There is still much work that needs to be done and another team will go Saturday,” stated Broom.
