Funeral services for Jeffrey Todd Sykes were held Friday, Nov. 25, 2016, in the Chapel of Saulters-Moore Funeral Home. Sykes, 46, passed away from this life on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016, in Mendenhall. Reverend Mike Grenn officiated and interment was in the New Hebron Cemetery.

Saulters-Moore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Boog Stephens, Jason Riley, Jason Huffman, Mark Berry, Jackie Daughdrill, and Brandon Sykes. Honorary pallbearers were Johnny Williams, Fred Robinson, and Victor Johnson.

Jeffrey Todd Sykes was born on Dec. 24, 1969, in Mendenhall to David Sykes Sr. and Nancy Daughdrill Sykes. He was a mechanic and attended New Hebron Baptist Church.

Sykes was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include two daughters, Rumor Sykes of New Hebron, and Memory McAlpin of West Orange, Texas; his mother, Nancy Sykes of Pinola; two brothers, David Sykes, Jr. and Tony Sykes, both of New Hebron; two sisters, Debbie McDaniel and Pam O’Brien, also of New Hebron; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
