Funeral services for Joseph Rodrigue were held Monday, Dec. 12, 2016, in the chapel of the Saulters-Moore Funeral Home in Prentiss. Rodrigue, 90, passed away from this life on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016, in St. Cloud, Florida. Rev. David Steele officiated. Interment was in the Tyrone Cemetery in Prentiss.

Wade Funeral Home of Collins was in charge of arrangements.

Joseph Edward Rodrigue was born Dec. 25, 1925, in Donaldsonville, Louisiana, to Eddie and Elizabeth Allemand Rodrigue. Rodrigue was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a Baptist.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty Jo Jordan Rodrigue of St. Cloud, Florida; three sons, Donald Rodrigue of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Joseph Edward Rodrigue Jr., and David A. Rodrigue, both of Aukland, New Zealand; one daughter, Patricia K. Rodrigue of St. Cloud, Florida; five grandchildren; and six great- grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives, and friends.
