Teresa Graves Booth

Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, at Holly Springs C.M.E. Church, Bassfield, for Teresa (Dupey) Graves Booth, 59, who died Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016, at Jefferson Davis Community Hospital in Prentiss.  Rev. Eddie Dixon, pastor, officiated with interment following in the Sweetwater C.M.E. Church cemetery.  Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Teresa Booth was born to the late Wilma Graves Thompson and Clayton Russell. She was raised by the late Sam and Anna Harper.  She joined Holly Springs C.M.E. Church at an early age. She graduated from Bassfield High School in 1976 and was a member of the Bassfield High School marching band. After high school, she attended Copiah-Lincoln Junior College.

She met and married Robert Earl (Bobby) Booth and to this union two children were born, Devin and Teresalynne. She worked at KLH Industries until her health failed her.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Booth; one son, Robert (Lola) Booth; one daughter, Teresalynne Booth; two grandchildren, Devontae and Robin Booth; three stepchildren, Charles (Sitty) Booth, Jackie Booth and Youlanda (Charles) Hicks; five sisters, Jurlean (Isaiah) Fairley, Hazel (Marvin) King, Vannetta (Leon) Powell, Rose (Shannon) Lewis and Tia Russell; six brothers, Walter Jones, Shelley (Cathy) Russell, Charles (Sharon) Russell, Reginald (Cynthia) Russell, Jerry (Jennie) Russell and Cedric Russell; two sisters-in-law; 12 step-grandchildren; three aunts; many other relatives and friends.
