It’s that time of year again.

Time to start preparing for our annual Run for the Roses event in April. Going strong for 34 years.

In the early years, we were the only race on the second Saturday in April. Everyone in the racing circuit knew when our race was and I’ve been told it basically kicked-off race season.

Unfortunately, that is not the case anymore. With all the new types of races (color races, glow races, etc.) gaining popularity, it seems like every weekend has a race planned, included the weekend we claimed as “ours”.

We want to continue this positive community event and we need your help.

If you are interested in any facet of the race, t-shirt design, trophy ideas, website maintenance, or if you would simply be willing to register participants on race day, please contact Missy at City Hall at 601-792-5741.

Please reach out to your family members and their friends to participate in the race itself.

It would be a great weekend to get the family together for a day of fun.
