Funeral services were held Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017, at Holly Springs C.M.E. Church in Bassfield, for Mrs. Rosie Mae Loftin, 106, who died Friday, Febraury 3, 2017, at Ocean Springs Hospital, Ocean Springs. Rev. Eddie Dison, pastor, officiated with interment following in the Taylor Cemetery, Carson. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Rosie M. Loftin was born in Carson, to the late Archie and Sarah Gray. She was a self taught seamstress and cook. She was married to the late Ike Loftin, two sons were born to this union.

She was preceded in death by: two sons, Archie and Robert Loftin; two grandsons, Jacob and Isaiah.

She is survived by: Kimberly Loftin, Carletta Loftin and Shana Loftin; one great-grandchild, Carrington Loftin Brown all of California; many other relatives and friends.
