Funeral services were held Sunday, March 5, 2017, at 2:30 p.m. at Prentiss United Methodist Church in Prentiss, for Mrs. Libba Mikell,  91, who died March 1, 2017, at her residence in Meridian. Interment followed in the Prentiss Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.

Rev. Sessions Polk and Rev. Rob Webb officiated. Pallbearers were Tim Burley, Matthew Grant, Trey Williamson, Kody Williamson, Billy Mayfield and Wes Mayfield. Honorary pallbearers were her W.H. Livingston Sunday School Class at Prentiss United Methodist Church.

Libba was born on April 1, 1925, in Louisiana.  She was a secretary for Bud Dale, First Prentiss Savings and Loan and First Guaranty in Prentiss. She was a very active member of Prentiss United Methodist Church for over 70 years. When it came time that she couldn’t be as active as she wanted to in the church, she became a great prayer warrior for them. When she said she was praying for you, it was guaranteed that you were being prayed for. Her smile was contagious and never faltered. Her love and relationship with Jesus was so great that it inspired you to want that relationship also. She loved you the moment she met you. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of ever meeting her.
