Funeral Services for Mrs. Janie Atwood were held at 3 p.m. on Feb. 10, 2018, at Saulters-Moore Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Atwood died Feb. 7, 2018, in Prentiss.

Rev. Charles Burnham officiated. Interment was in the Mack Graves Cemetery.

Saulters Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Charles Lott III, Mark McRaney Jr., Charles Wayne Lott, Raleigh Smith, John Leggett and Jamie Carter.

Janie Marie Atwood was born Dec. 25, 1941, in Covington County to Elbert Monroe Shoemake and Dolby Yates Shoemake.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Whitesand Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; one daughter, Doris Lott; one son, Johnny Lott and two brothers, Jimmy Shoemake and Lavon Shoemake.

Mrs. Atwood is survived by her three sons, James Charles Lott of Prentiss, Robert Wayne Lott of Prentiss and Charles T. (Cynthia) Lott Jr. of Collins; one daughter, Judy L. Floyd of Prentiss; 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Eva Carter and Joyce Carter of Seminary and Eunice Rockholt of Quanna, Texas.
