Hobotonico Applewhite

Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019 at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel for Mr. Hobotonico Applewhite, 50, who died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2019 at his residence. Bishop Lockhart officiated with interment following in the Wheeler Cemetery in Bassfield.
Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hobotonico Applewhite was the son of Mr. Johnnie Polk and Miss Hazel Applewhite.
He graduated from Bassfield High School and later enlisted in the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Terrance Polk of Bassfield.
He is survived by sons, James Applewhite and Luke Martin both of New York, New York; daughters, Jasmine and Kayla Applewhite both of Florida; father, Johnnie (Lorese) Polk of Silver Creek; mother, Hazel Applewhite of Bassfield; five brothers, Johnnie (Cheryl) Polk of Bassfield; Ray (Jackie) Polk of Gulfport; Charles (Cynthia) Polk of Seminary; Neal (Michelle) Polk of Pascagoula; Robert (Dawn) Polk of Bloomingdale; two sister, Angela (Lonnie) Bass of Prentiss; Hope Applewhite of Slidell, Louisiana and many other relatives and friends.
